The best ramen ever! So authentic and using the Yelp 30 min reservation has been perfect every time.
This place was great, worth the wait to get a table! The server was extremely nice, let us know that if we bought one more role, we would get another 50% a roll. With that we got four rolls that were amazing!! The sushi was so fresh, some of the best I have had. We all ate so fast, no pictures were taken.
Food is great and so are the portion sizes. Food may not come out in order (e.g., appetizers before sushi) but it comes out fresh. Service can be a little slow depending on what time you go. There usually is a wait time, try to join their waitlist ahead of time to reduce wait time. The ambiance and decor is cute.
Walked in on a Sunday at 9:30pm. I wanted to try some of the best sushi like toro, red snapper, etc., and fish it was ok. I have to say the location they have in Glendale, in our opinion, the fish tasted a lot more fresh and they offer caviar on top of pretty much anything. The sushi came out a bit on the slow side and the spider roll was cold, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if today was an off day or not, maybe it was the end of the night, but our server was kind and tried his best to take care of us. Will give this place another try on a weekday and update the review if needed
kopan ramen rating: 8/10 pricing: $23 for bento we went to kopan and got their bento!! we chose the three entree and i got takoyaki, pork katsu, & california roll. let me just say... the portions are huge!! it's definitely worth the money :) the food was pretty good. i really enjoyed the takoyaki & katsu. the california roll was also pretty big. would def return for their bento, which is even cheaper for lunch!!
My family and I came here on a Friday night. I recommend you to add your party to the waitlist on Yelp first. We did that and the wait was about 25 minutes for Friday night at 6:45pm. What I love about this location in downtown Burbank is that parking is free for 4 hours! I highly recommend the salmon sashimi with garlic, mango rolls, and the curry chicken cutlet over rice. The curry rice came in the most impressive stone bowl which kept it really hot! The portion was generous too. And, I liked the salmon sashimi so much I ordered a second one. The ambiance was energetic and noisy. The interior was traditional Japanese. We had a great time. The food came out fast but the bill took a while. I highly recommend this place for a good variety of Japanese food: rolls, ramens, and rice dishes.
There are a ton of restaurants to choose from along this street but if you're looking for Japanese food, this is the spot. The restaurant has two sides and only one side was open when we dropped by for an early dinner on a weekday. The side we were seated on was dimly lit but the ambience is cute, like a small town in Japan. We each ordered ramen and shared a couple of sushi rolls since they were buy one get one half off. I had the Kuro Mayu Ramen ($15.95) that came with chashu, corn, mushroom, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg and black garlic oil. It came with a generous amount of noodles and the tonkotsu broth was flavorful without being too salty. For sushi, we got the Lemon Roll ($16.95) and Sapporo Roll ($16.25). The Sapporo is basically a baked Philly roll, it wasn't bad but a little too creamy for me. The Lemon Roll is a spicy tuna roll with tuna on top and it was very fresh. The service was friendly and quick. The only downside to this place is that they don't serve dessert, so they don't do anything special for birthdays which was disappointing since it was my dad's birthday. But otherwise it's a solid choice for sushi and a comforting bowl of ramen.

I know Kopan gets really busy on the weekends, so I had to make time to visit during the week. I went twice in one month because I enjoyed my first visit so much. Here's what we ordered... Ginza sushi (12 pieces): Better than I expected Jalapeno Tempura roll: Excellent Menchi curry rice: Very good Sesame chicken and mixed tempura bento: I will pass on this next time Tonkotsu ramen: Room for improvement The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. The service was fine. They can probably use some more people there like a lot of restaurants these days. If I have an opportunity to go on a weekday, I'll go back for sure.
